Gladstone's clean streets praised
GLADSTONE was on the receiving end of a wonderful gesture on Tuesday when a camper heading over to North West Island came in to rave about how clean the main streets of Gladstone was.
Patrick Mullins was so impressed with the city and said that you would never see the streets of Bondi as clean as they were here.
“In Bondi Junction you can’t see the street for all the chewing gum on the ground,” Mr Mullins said.
“I don’t do this very often, but I had to come in and tell you how clean the streets are.”
Whilst sitting at Snoops early yesterday morning Mr Mullins and his friend were astounded by the blowers, sweepers and cleaning process that goes on in Goondoon Street.
“The Gladstone Regional Council must be doing a great job,” Mr Mullins said.
