Girls with tatts unattractive? Ink again

TATTOOED women have spoken out against comments made on Channel Seven's Sunrise program which suggested men do not find women with ink attractive.

During the Kochie's Angels segment, a discussion quickly turned sour when one panellist remarked tattoos were a mistake.

"I do not think that is attractive. I do not think most men find that attractive ... they make a negative statement," the panellist said.

Noosa's Charlotte Mitchell, 21, did not take kindly to the comments, immediately posting her thoughts on Instagram.

Her post went viral with many suggesting the remarks were a form of bullying.

"I was upset at the response from Channel 7, it's extremely opinionated and offensive to many beautiful women," Ms Mitchell said.

Ms Mitchell, who is in a two-year relationship with her partner Daniel, said the remarks were absurd.

Buderim pin-up model Alicia Taylor, also known as Scarlet Tinkabelle (pictured right), has made a name for herself partially because of her ink. She works as a Coast property manager.

While the 28-year-old said she did not expect everyone to like her tattoos, Ms Taylor said she felt the comments were ridiculous.

Next Sunday (May 18) Ms Taylor and hundreds of other tattooed women will rally in Brisbane to defend themselves against the comments.

The event will see thousands of women across Australia do the same. For more information visit All the Tattooed Ladies on Facebook.
