Girl Friday back in town and ready to shine at races

IT'S races time again with the Charity Race Day on Saturday at the Gladstone Turf Club.

Divine Avenue shop assistant Micaela Oost shows off fashion in The Observer's races lift out on Saturday.

"I like that the races give people in Gladstone a chance to frock up," Micaela said.

Last time we profiled the 18-year-old, she was heading off to Brisbane for uni, but she still loves coming home.

"I get a bit homesick. Just miss everybody and family friends," she said.

"It's nice to have a break off uni and come back."
