George Bush a force at eisteddfod

“JUST give him a stage,” mum Cindy Bush says of her 10-year-old son George Bush.

And give him a stage they will when the Gladstone City Eisteddfod begins tomorrow.

Having competed in five Gladstone Eisteddfods, starred in Oliver, Les Mis and a slew of other musicals, scored roles in a couple of TV shows, earned the medal for scoring the highest marks in the state in his Trinity Guildhall exams two years in a row, and been accepted into The Australian Ballet School, George is a performing force to be reckoned with.

This year he is competing in 27 sections of the eisteddfod.

“The preparations are going really good. A lot of playing and practice and just perfecting it all – I love it,” the young talent said.

“The eisteddfod has been fantastic for him and for all kids,” added Mrs Bush.

“It gives them a chance to gain experience on a big stage and compete in a fun environment.”

The first category is at 8.30am. For details contact 49727131.
