KARTS: Gladstone's Billy Myers had a near-perfect result at the Founders and Vintage Meeting on Saturday.

Billy raced to the line first in heat's one and two in the Cadet 12 category and got second in the final heat.

The minor placings went to Bundaberg's Hayden Egan and Gladstone pair of Fraser Blton and Stevie Chant in third and fourth respectively.

Tallis Nunn was the only Gladstone driver to finsih third in the KA4 Junior Lite category while the KA3 Junior first place-getter was Kyron Kirkpatrick.

The Cadet 9 class had the top two with Gladstone's Zac Bell and Ryder Laverty claiming one and two positions.

Fifty drivers entered the event from as far south and west from Toowoomba and Emerald.

"There were 10 Vintage karts that participated in a display both on track and off,” Gladstone Karts Club secretary Adrian Jones said.

"It was a very enjoyable day in our preferred schedule of day/night racing as this allows visiting drivers plenty of travel time.

"We were very appreciative of the Vintage Kart drivers for their attendance.”
