EMOTIONS were high as hundreds of residents descended upon Melton Park to pay their respects the Anzac Day march today.
Former veterans and schools throughout the region marched down the street with heads held high before stopping at the RSL Anzac Memorial park.
The people listened intently as corporal Andrew Lloyd delivered a speech, telling of the Anzac's time in World War I.
Dozens of people lined up to lay wreaths in the park before the crowd paused for the Last Post and a minutes silence.
Many left Biloela on a bus to Thangool to participate in another Anzac Day ceremony.
This followed several dawn services across the Banana Shire where residents woke up early to commemorate one of the most important days of the year.
