Libraries lively with activities these school holidays

Families flock to meet farmyard friends at library

THE Gladstone City Library was the furriest it's been in a long time with the Old MacDonald's Farm visiting the undercover car park on Tuesday.

Hundreds of families flocked to the school holiday activity to see, pat and feed the lambs, chickens, ducks, lamas and more.

Librarian Fran Moroney expected it to be their most popular activity throughout these holidays.

WHAT'S ON

Today

Make a jet pack, laser arm band, moon sand and flying saucer at the Calliope Crafty Capers from 9.30-11.30am. This workshop is for children 5-10 years and costs $20. To place a booking phone 0428 871 010.

Tomorrow

The Old MacDonald's Farm will be at the Boyne Island Library from 9.30am-12.30pm. At 2.30-3.30pm the farm will visit the Miriam Vale Library.

Come and try Rhee Tae Kwon Do at the Boyne Island Community Complex, Wyndham and Hayes Ave at 6-7pm. For more information phone Master Ken Jones on 0417 769 252.

Friday

Mums, dads, and bubs are invited to Movie Mums every Friday for a cheap, child-friendly session at 9.30am. General tickets are $8 and gold room $20. For more information phone 4972 0015.

An open jam session will be held at Anthony Breed Music on Toolooa St at 4-6pm. Open to ages from 12-24. For details phone 4972 1229.
