Fun for all ages at BAM beachside
YOU won't be short on seeing and experiencing something special when it comes to the huge line-up of market stalls and entertainment at today's latest offerings at Beach, Arts, Music (BAM).
Thousands are once again expected to enjoy a lazy Saturday afternoon by the beach lapping up all the local entertainment, artistic flair and flavoursome food at Tannum Sands' Millennium Esplanade between 3pm and 8pm.
Today will mark the fifth BAM session, a free monthly event offered by the Boyne Tannum Arts, Business, Community Association Inc. as a means of bringing the arts to the community.
And every month just seems to get bigger and better according to stall organiser Julie Miers who said two entertainment areas would be operating this month.
“On the main band area we will have another fantastic line-up of performers this month and on the smaller stage Brian Carter will be entertaining those in the food court area,” Ms Miers said.
“We will also have a chalk board set up for all up and coming artists who want to have a go at performing.”
A new attraction this time round is Tattoo Tim who will have costume dress up photography.
You can get your photo taken on the day dressed up in your favourite fantasy costume.
Ms Miers said a new stallholder would be Beads Inspired plus there would be the popular regulars such as Pebbles Decor selling homewards and gifts, Don's Creations selling relishes and sauces, Lynda Gibbons selling home made aprons and wheat bags and plenty of spice blends, art and postcards from Jane Thatcher the Spirited Chef.
“The gallery has new and exciting art and Janey Matthews will be doing her fairy tale face painting,” Ms Miers said.
And those looking for a tasty treat can get your fix with German sausages, fish and chips, pies, cup cakes, ice cream, fresh lemonade or espresso being just some of the many food and beverage options available.
