Video: East Shores fun day a hit with families

SUNDAY was filled with hundreds of happy parents and children at the opening of the Gladstone Coal Exporters Maritime Precinct at East Shores.

The free family fun day included a magician, sausage sizzle, reggae street performers, a band and inflatable soccer fields.

Ella, 8, and Jordi, 6, Burgmann said they found the park pretty cool after just moving to Gladstone.

"My favourite part is the musical instruments that you get to play with," Ella said.

Gelaspresso co-owner Julia Imarisio said their opening day was also a hit.

"The staff are eager, the customers curious and the weather hot, just perfect," she said.
