Fun celebration to mark Movember at Gladstone West

STUDENTS at Gladstone West State School were treated to the sight of a helicopter on their oval last week.

The visit was to help with the school's Movember effort, and the helicopter, flown by Drew Willard, sported its very own moustache.

With more than $200 raised from last year's fundraising efforts, Year 7 teacher Andrew Philps said the event would grow.

"Some of the students' parents had associations with a helicopter company, so we decided to land the chopper on the school grounds to mark the occasion," he said.
