Yaralla centre fully functional and ready for business

THE day was months in the planning and executed with precision according to Yaralla events manager Sharon Renton.

Ms Renton has been in that role for 18 months but this was the first time she'd organised the Wedding Expo.

"It's normally held at the GECC but this year it's all ours," she said.

"We've had a really good turn out and a steady stream of people throughout the whole four hours.

"The wedding expo is one of the highlights of the year.

"It's got a good feel to it and everyone has room to move."

Ms Renton said the space has been getting plenty of use, with 6-7 events every week.

"In the last week we've had conferences, our theatre restaurant night and the Broncos function," she said.

"But no weddings, yet."
