From RGs to the alter Gladstone couple celebrate their love

A CHANCE introduction at the Rocky Glen Hotel was the start of a long romance for Allayna Cruikshank and Martin Beckett.

The couple, which met more than seven years ago, wed in front of 50 of their friends and family last month.

They met "a fair while ago” when Allayna was a regular at the Rocky Glen Hotel and Martin worked at the drive- through bottle shop.

"My friend worked there as well so he introduced me.

"I was having a drink there and he was working, but I'm a happy drinker so he didn't mind talking to me.”

Their wedding day was full of laughs with the newlyweds giggling as celebrant Judy Whicker married the couple.

Allayna and Martin wed at Stirling Park, Boyne Island on August 21.

"Everyone had fun,” Allayna said.

"We all have a similar sense of humour, it's a little be crude, so there were lots of laughs,” she said.

"I have heaps of highlights through the day but the best ones I probably won't be able to mention because they're not PG,” she laughed.

They had a purple and black theme, two of Allayna's favourite colours.

The bride, with fair skin, opted for a black dress over white, too.

"I couldn't imagine myself in white,” she said.

"I'm quite fair skinned and it's just not me.”

She said all of their guests were involved in the theme too - all dressed in either of the colours.
