CULINARY genius Kim McCosker is sharing her knowledge in the Gladstone region on Monday, and it could be just the kitchen inspiration you need for Christmas.

The Queensland author of the 4 Ingredients series will be at Gladstone City Library at 10am to discuss the 4 Ingredients story and her new Wellness Series.

Later in the day, catch her at Calliope Library at 1pm.

Kim will be showcasing recipes from the Wellness Series, which teaches better eating habits while still keeping it simple.

She also has plenty of tips for entertaining, and getting kids whipping up wonders in the kitchen.

Admission is free and there will be 4 Ingredients books available to buy.

4 Ingredients started in 2007 and quickly swept the nation.

By 2008 it became the biggest selling book across all genres - and even outsold JK Rowling's Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows!

It expanded into a series which including recipes for children, allergies and intolerances.

Later, Kim grew the concept even further to become a television series, smart phone app and an eBook.
