Four fire crews at vegetation fire at Deepwater

THE Department of Community Safety have advised that there is a vegetation fire at Deepwater, near AgnesWater.

Four fire crews are currently at the scene of a grass fire which has been burning at Maude Hill Road, Deepwater since around 10.45am.

Firefighters are conducting backburning to bring the fire under control.

There is no threat to homes in the area.

Residents are asked to keep their doors and windows shut and those who suffer from respiratory illness should keep medication close by.

If residents feel their property comes under threat, they should phone Triple Zero (000) immediately.
