Four candidates to stand in Gladstone

THE list of candidates for the seat of Gladstone in the January 31 state election has been finalised after nominations closed on Tuesday.

There are four candidates - Glenn Butcher for the Australian Labor Party, Michael Duggan for the Liberal National Party, Craig Butler as an independent, and Craig Tomsett for the Greens.

Mr Tomsett appears first on the ballot paper, followed by Mr Butler, Mr Duggan and Mr Butcher.

Pre-poll voting in person opens at 9am on Monday, January 19 and closes at 6pm on Friday, January 30.

Postal voting is now available until 6pm on election day.
