Me and My Ride: Bell 47 helicopter

RON Creed shows off his Bell 47 helicopter, a valued workhorse on his family property west of Ambrose.

Owned by: Ron Creed.

Suburb: Raglan.

Make, model and year: Bell 47 G2A1, 1968.

Do you enjoy it? Very much.

How long have you had it? Five years.

Where have you been in it? Only around Queensland as we have a Cessna 185 I have flown all over Australia.

What upgrades have you done? None.

Would you ever trade it in? Probably not.

Is this your dream machine? Not really, but it is beautiful to fly; strong, reliable and safe.

How do you look after it? I keep it clean, change the oils and grease it. The rest is done by qualified helicopter engineers.
