Football teams hold positions

THE top-of-the-table clash between Boyne Tannum FC and Biloela Valleys left the teams unmoved on the first division premiership ladder after their 1-all draw at Biloela on Sunday.

Valleys continues to lead the Football Gladstone ladder but the draw keeps BTFC just a point behind.

Yaralla was the only side to record a win in the first division competition when they defeated United 2-nil as Clinton and Central were still locked nil-all after 90 minutes.

Second division also had a close round with the exception of Boyne Tannum’s thrashing of an at-home Calliope.

Central White and Yaralla recorded wins against Clinton and Valleys respectively.

Neither United nor Central Black could hit the back of the net during their clash.

In the ladies, BTFC claimed a narrow 1-nil score line from United while Clinton ran over Central White to record a 5-nil win.

The results of the ladies’ Calliope versus Wolves and Central Black versus Yaralla games were unknown at the time of print.
