Flood watch issued for Gladstone region rivers

A STORM warning has been issued by Bureau of Meteorology for Gladstone, Calliope, Biloela and Mount Larcom.

The warning is for people to prepare for severe thunderstorms to produce damaging winds and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding from as far west as Clermont.

A flood warning was also issued this afternoon for Capricornia Region including the Baffle, Boyne, Calliope and Fitzroy catchments.

The flood watch means that people living or working along rivers and creeks should monitor the latest weather forecasts and warnings and be ready to move to high ground should flooding develop.
