The Bureau expects an upper trough to deliver showers and storms to parts of the south-east today, evolving into rain overnight and into tomorrow.

The widespread rain expected for Friday is to ease on Saturday

The Bureau warns "rainfall totals of 50-100mm are possible, with locally higher totals likely with storms".

"Heavy rainfall may also lead to localised flash flooding."
