Fleet carrying accommodation for Curtis an impressive sight
BRUCE Highway users were treated to a spectacular sight on Tuesday when a fleet of trucks carrying $420,000 worth of portable accommodation travelled from Brisbane to Gladstone.
The six Farraway Transport vehicles arrived in Gladstone around 4.30pm with their oversize loads.
Valued about $70,000 each, the portable housing complete with air-conditioning and hot water systems were bound for a Curtis Island LNG project.
The transport company has been making up to three trips a week with accommodation for workers.
