Flat tyre delays flight

PASSENGERS were stranded at Gladstone Airport for three hours yesterday due to a flat tyre.

Karen Lavelle said her flight was meant to depart at 6.45am but it didn’t leave until 10.40am, only to arrive at Brisbane Airport about noon.

A Qantas spokeswoman said the flight departed at 11.20am.

“The majority of passengers were moved to alternative flights earlier in the morning,” she said.
