A FIVE-year-old boy is being transported to Gladstone Hospital after being stung by a jellyfish this afternoon.

Queensland Ambulance Service was called to help the boy who was stung on the shoulder at Canoe Point Beach just after 5pm.

He is currently on the way to the hospital in a stable condition.
