Gladstone Crossfit teams dominate at elite competition
GLADSTONE Crossfit athletes proved they are among the best when they dominated an elite state-wide competition last weekend.
Three teams from the Crossfit Gladstone Gym competed in the finals of the Again Faster Allstar Elite Team Series on the Gold Coast.
And all three did the region proud, according to Crossfit trainer Sean O'Neill.
He said everything from their strength, endurance, stamina, fitness and balance were put to the ultimate test.
CFG Black took out second place but not far behind was CFG Green placing fourth and CFG white placed among the top 20.
Each team consisted of three men and women who have been training for the past year for the competition which begun last August.
"All athletes gave 110%," O'Neill said.
"They all achieved something they didn't think they could."
But now their first team series is over, O'Neil' said the focus was now back to improving all levels of athletes.
A new beginner's class is starting soon and anyone is welcome to come and give it a go.
