Crews bring Benaraby fire under control

A BUSHFIRE near Benaraby has been brought under control, according to authorities.

A Queensland Fire and Rescue Service said yesterday that a crew would watch the fire overnight.

"A number of rural crews left the incident this afternoon. The fire seems to be winding down," the spokesperson said.

"They'll keep an eye on it for a couple of days."

The fire, which started at 4pm on Saturday, disrupted traffic for half an hour on Saturday afternoon on the Bruce Hwy.
