Firefighter regional headquarters threatened by blaze

A GRASS fire three football fields in size was threatening the Queensland Fire and Emergency Service headquarters in Charlton.

The fire was reported at about 2.30pm and is burning on Steger Rd.

Multiple rural firefighters are battling the grass fire along with civilians.

The fire is about 200 metres away from the regional headquarters and is heading in that direction.
