Fire causes delays on Bruce Hwy near Bundaberg

GLADSTONE residents travelling south on the Bruce Hwy are warned to drive safely as fire crews tackle a blaze on the Bruce Hwy north-west of Bundaberg.

‎QFES‬ crews are at scene of a vegetation fire burning along the highway at Kolonga.

Crews are establishing containment lines and there is no threat to property at this time, but a large volume of smoke can be seen in the area.

State Emergency Service volunteers are controlling traffic on the highway and motorists can expect delays.

Motorists are also advised to drive to conditions and be aware of emergency vehicles in the area.
