Fire at Calliope threatened two homes

A FIRE that threatened two homes at Calliope on Sunday has been brought under control.

A call about the blaze was made to the fire service at 1.20pm.

Three rural crews and an urban crew backburned three fire fronts, and a dozer was used to cut vegetation to put in a fire break.
