Fire burning at Iveragh

NINE Queensland Fire and Emergency Service crews are on scene at a large grass fire between Christensen Rd, Wildman Rd, Otto Rd and the Bruce Hwy, Iveragh. 

The fire started around 1.30pm and poses no threat to properties. 

Firefighters have door knocked the residents in the area to inform them of the blaze. 

Residents are advised to close windows and doors and keep medication on hand if suffering from a respiratory illness.
