THERE'S a marketing campaign by American Apparel that has caught the attention of numerous news sites.

The clothing brand has taken the apparently radical step and used an older model, 60-year-old Jacky O'Shaughnessy, who they discovered in a New York restaurant.

It's crazy that this causes such interest.

When you think about it, the older market is just as fashion-savvy as youth and has more disposable cash.

Perhaps this is the beginning of a more common trend.

For those after a bit of older style inspiration, a quick google search reveals a few blogs, though it would be good to see more.

Pros of older fashion

  • Smart neck scarves
  • Jewellery that's the real deal
  • Chic but comfort focused style
