Family of CQ couple killed on MH370 suing Malaysian Airlines

THE parents of a Central Queensland couple who were killed on board MH370 say they are unaware of a legal battle suing Malaysian Airlines for over $200,000 as well as 'further damages'.

George and Irene Burrows, of Biloela, understand the children of Rodney, their son, and Mary Burrows are involved in the claim with another Australian family and the airline.

The claim is suing for compensation for "suffering various degrees of nervous shock and consequential economic loss" for failing to prevent the plane from going missing. 

The case is expected to return to the Federal Court in Sydney in August.
