MORE than 200 people hit the path at the Toondoon Botanic Gardens to raise money for the Mater Hospital.

The Mater Miracles Event was organised by Rotaract Gladstone and the funds go towards helping seriously ill and vulnerable mothers and babies.

Organiser Michelle Spann was nervous about how many people would turn up.

"I hope it all goes smoothly but I can't quite relax yet," she said.

"It's for a wonderful cause and we are just happy we are able to support it."
