PHOTOS: Out and about on Labour Day

LABOUR Day, a day for rest and a day to spend time with the family.

That's what Observer photographer Paul Braven found was very much the case when he took around Gladstone to see who was doing what on the last Labour Day to be held in October.

The state government has announced that Labour Day next year will revert to the traditional day in 2016 - May 1.

In the meantime, families were out in force yesterday soaking up the sun and making good use of the excellent facilities provided for our citizens. See more photos from yesterday on Page 9.
