Harmony Farm the perfect place to relax in nature

HARMONY Farm in the mountains behind Ubobo is an out of the way place for families to get back to nature and physically take themselves out in the bush.

Over the weekend groups of people from Gladstone, Rockhampton and elsewhere took part in nature walks led by property owner Dennis Martin whoreadily imparts to others his knowledge of native species.

At the end of a bush track across some dry creek crossings, a bush camp was set up at the farm nestled beneath the hill slopes.

Many people came out for the evening sounds of some country musicians with Saturday morning put aside for some spiritual reflection for the Seventh-day Adventists.

Known as a special place for children, there was plenty of stuff to have fun with, from the big tree swing to throwing yourself with glee down the flying fox wire strung across a small gully.

Guest Leanne Ayre said the idea was to get families and children out of the region's towns and get them active.

The weekend event also raised funds for the Boyne Valley Canoe Club.
