Facing fears, Donna lives her dreams

DONNA Ware lives in spite of fear. What she thought was a very important lesson she learnt in her own life has now become her business mission and philosophy.

"I've learnt in my own life that stepping out of that fear zone is the only way I could succeed in my work and personal life," the male wellness coach said.

"We all have fear, it can either trap us and keep us bound in the same place ... or we can embrace the fear."

Ms Ware moved to Gladstone seven years ago from Bundaberg after her husband secured a job here.

The South Australian-born woman admitted it was not a move she was too keen to make.

"I'm settled here finally; it did take a while, but I'm enjoying it."

Ms Ware created her own business, Live Fearlessly, a year ago. She offers counselling services, and specialises in assisting men.

"I've realised there is a real need for that (male counselling) here; I can see that I have an important role in the community now," she said.

Other passions in her life include volunteering and meditation.

"I attend a spiritual night gathering once a week and I support others to connect with that side of themselves," she said.

"I also absolutely love walking in nature. I think it's a bit like meditation ... it's a great place to discover things about yourself."
