Facebook page gives meaty review to Gladstone bakery: GALLERY

IN EARLY June, food review Facebook page, Taste of CQ, launched.

The woman behind it, Lainey Ambrock, said it was through the use of social media that the page intended to spread positive feedback on the region's takeaway restaurant and eateries.

So far she has given reviews on Tapas de Vino, the Tannum Sands Fish and Chips Shop, Pizza Capers, Gladstone Ribs and Rumps and food stalls of the Mount Larcom Show.

Her most recent review was of the Bakin' BITS - Bakery - Boyne Island Tannum Sands.

Here's how the Facebook page reviewed the business:

"To say we were overwhelmed and impressed is an understatement!!

The variety of pies available leaves you spoiled for choice and just the same with the sweet selection!

Today's special pie was lamb shank and red wine and was a tasty treat.

Another taste bud stopper was the ned kelly pie. Just amazing. For an 'all in one breakfast' you can't go past the bacon, egg, cheese and BBQ sauce muffin.

Just divine!!!

The pastry on all were nice and fluffy and didn't leave you feeling 'heavy' when finished. Which was a good thing as then it was time to sample the sweet treats.

The match stick, walnut and date slice, citrus tart and the flake cheesecake were all absolutely delectable delights!!!

To choose a favourite would be impossible!! Again these were all light and fluffy and didn't leave you feeling 'heavy' or guilty for indulging in a sweet treat!

If you're in the Boyne/Tannum area a visit to the Bakin' Bits Bakery is an ABSOLUTE MUST!!!”
