Facebook mention an ego boost for sexy boyfriend
THERE'S a page on Facebook that constantly amuses, shocks and disgusts me. Some of you may be familiar with it.
Gladstone Open Discussion.
Or as the members like to refer to it, G.O.D.
All manner of posts, from the stupid to the inane, humorous and insightful are posted upon it.
It has over 8000 members, the last time I looked.
I have to say, the group has cleaned up its act over the past 12 months.
Formerly, it was a place to moan, bully and bait the more naive members.
The highlight was this week seeing a young woman post a comment about a tradie working on a roof.
"Sexy man working on the roof shirtless in Tank Street, hope you're wearing sunscreen on that awesome body" it read.
Young lady, control yourself - that is my partner.
I agree with you on many fronts in respect to his appearance, but unfortunately for you, there's no shortage of sunscreen in our house.
And thanks for the ego boost I now have to contend with at home.
Don't get me wrong, there is nothing better than a tradie to perve on - and I laughed until I cried when I saw it.
The thread of comments are still going strong since Monday.
They range from "Men aren't just objects to be sexualized. No matter what he's wearing he's not asking for it" through to, "I heard the girls talking today and they were torn between shirtless fella and shirt wearing fella".
Ladies - calm yourselves, seriously.
Over 160 comments, all perving on my boyfriend.
Please, for the sake of me having to live with his ego - STOP!
