Photographer brings skills to Gladstone class

AWARD-winning photographer Karin Calvert is bringing her skills to help amateur and professional Gladstone snappers.

A Rockhampton resident for the past six months, Karin has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Visual Communications, and more than 25 years of industry experience as a commercial and editorial photographer.

She's also made a career of sharing her passion with students - no matter what their skill level.

"The immediacy that digital photography now offers makes it quicker to review your work, and adjust and learn on the spot," Karin said.

"But good photography is also about learning new ways of seeing - and classes offer the opportunity to learn about how to express and capture your creativity."

CQUniversity is offering a range of photography short courses for beginner and intermediate training for numerous aspects of digital photography.

Karin will combine helpful theory with practical demonstrations, fun location shoots, Q&A sessions and plenty of tips and tricks.
