ARIA nominees visit for music composition workshop

ARIA Award nominee Topology will perform for free at the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery and Museum from noon to 2pm today.

Topology's virtuoso composer/musicians will collaborate with participants to compose music inspired by the exhibited artworks, demonstrating that anyone can create great music.

The workshop is suitable for all levels of experience and no prior composition experience is required.

"We're really looking forward to taking our Top Up program to the Gladstone Region community for the first time," composer and artistic director Robert Davidson said.

"We really love collaborating and creating new music with people of all backgrounds, abilities and musical interests."

Topology is visiting the region with The Kransky Sisters for the hilarious Tunes From the Tube, to be held at the Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre from 7pm tonight.

To book for the composition workshop, phone 4976 6766 or email gragm@gladstonerc.qld.gov.au.

Tunes From the Tube tickets are online at www.gladecc.com.au or phone the box office on 4972 2822.
