Employers and job seekers see results

RECRUITMENT opportunities for Gladstone job seekers are about to get a lot easier.

Capricorn Training Company Limited launched CTC Employment Hub Ecosystem yesterday for businesses and employees to get advice and the skills needed for finding work or employing staff.

CTC general manager Darryl Lapworth said the ecosystem could help everyone, no matter where in central Queensland they were.

"We're all in a problem with jobs at the moment,” Mr Lapworth said.

"We're mainly trying to work with employers to fill needs of what they need today and getting the right person for employers when market is tight.”

Mr Lapworth said there were a few Gladstone businesses on board with the program despite it being based in Rockhampton.

"A lot of times (job seekers) are doing robo-submitting but they need to really read and tailor their resume to (each) job,” he said.

"We have a 98% fill rate ... employees have stayed.”
