Eels in way of Cowboys perfection

AFTER opening the season with three straight losses, which had critics questioning the team's premiership claims, the Cowboys can complete the perfect 10 against Parramatta in Sydney tonight.

The home side will pin its hopes on erratic but gifted halfback Chris Sandow, who was on song last weekend against Penrith after coach Brad Arthur sent him back to the NSW Cup to work on his game. Sandow (pictured) has been linked with the Titans after the decision by Daly Cherry-Evans to stay at Manly.

The Eels, who have only the Sea Eagles below them on the ladder, will back themselves to beat the Cowboys in the middle of the field with their aggressive forward pack led by Tim Mannah, Anthony Watmough and the big-hitting Tepai Moeroa.

But if North Queensland's own star-studded pack of Matt Scott, James Tamou and Jason Taumalolo wins the forward battle, then playmakers Johnathan Thurston, Lachlan Coote and the ever-dangerous Michael Morgan could be too hard for Parramatta to control for the full 80 minutes.
