ENVIRONMENTALLY friendly stallholders are wanted for Gladstone's Ecofest 2014.

Stallholders can register their interest in securing a site at central Queensland's largest annual environment awareness event, to be held at Gladstone's Tondoon Botanic Gardens.

Hosted by Gladstone Festivals and Events in partnership with Gladstone Regional Council, Ecofest is held on the first Sunday in June and coincides with World Environment Day.

The event aims to highlight important environmental initiatives and promotes an interactive whole community approach to ensuring the environmental sustainability of our planet.

This year's theme is: Keeping our waterways healthy.

This year marks the 15th anniversary of Ecofest which will feature eco-friendly displays and stalls, live shows, guest speakers, children's activities, entertainment and food and drink stalls.

The expressions of interest deadline to host a stall at Ecofest 2014 is May 16.

Preference will be given to stallholders who fit in with the working ethos of Ecofest and demonstrate their environmental initiatives and credentials.

Stallholders must be environmentally friendly and be selling or showcasing recycled or reusable products, or be following environmentally friendly practices.
