Drunk, drove, busted: drink driving message ignored

IT appears the message is still not sinking in when it comes to drink-driving.

Sixteen people appeared in Gladstone Magistrates Court last week for being above the legal alcohol limit.

Eireann McKenzie Spooner, 39, had the highest blood alcohol concentration (BAC) at 0.208%, and was fined $1800 and disqualified from driving for 15 months after being intercepted on Nebo Rd, Mackay.

Thomas Dylan Easton, 21, was fined $900 and disqualified from driving for three months after being intercepted on Gladstone-Mount Larcom Rd in Callemondah with 0.048% .

Kong Seav, 44, blew 0.061%, was fined $450 and disqualified for one month after being intercepted on Glenlyon Rd, Gladstone.

Jethro Rampton-Arstall was fined $650 and disqualified from driving for three months after being intercepted on Hampon Dr in Gladstone at 0.068% .

Charmaine Lee Peacock, 41, was fined $450 and disqualified from driving for one month after being intercepted on Gladstone-Benaraby Rd in Gladstone at 0.054%.

Chun Hong Park, 31, was intercepted on the Dawson Hwy in Gladstone at 0.062% and subsequently fined $500 and disqualified from driving for one month.

Sarah Jane Binell, 20, was fined $500 and disqualified from driving for three months after being intercepted on Hopper Road in Gladstone at 0.069%.

Rodney Eric Blanchard, 20, was intercepted on Auckland St in Gladstone at 0.05%.

He was fined $500 and disqualified from driving for three months.

Russell Steven Lee Emmerson, 31, had a BAC of 0.093%, was fined $600 and disqualified from driving for three months after being intercepted on Gladstone-Benaraby Rd, Gladstone.

Pierre Roy Hollier III, 48, was intercepted on Glenlyon Rd in Gladstone at 0.052% and subsequently fined $400 and disqualified from driving for one month.

Ian Donald Cochrane, 54, was fined $600 and disqualified from driving for two months after being intercepted on Dawson Hwy in Calliope at 0.082% .

David Keith Bromilow, 47, was fined $900 and disqualified from driving for seven months after being intercepted on the Dawson Hwy in Gladstone at 0.144%.

Ashlea Maree Cox, 19, was intercepted on Glenlyon Rd in Gladstone at 0.072% and subsequently fined $500 and disqualified from driving for two months.

Calum James Brown, 23, was intercepted on Dawson Rd in Gladstone at 0.087%. He was fined $550 and disqualified from driving for six weeks.

Wireme Isaac Hireme, 26, was fined 800 and disqualified from driving for four months after being intercepted on Booth Ave in Tannum Sands at 0.136% .

Ruth Natasha Hill, 32, was fined $1500 and disqualified from driving for 10 months after being intercepted on Coronation Dr in Tannum Sands on 0.141%
