Drizzly weekend with more expected

IT was a windy weekend for Gladstone locals with light rain scattered across the town during most of Saturday and yesterday and slightly choppy seas for the boaties.

Saturday provided a picture-perfect morning while Sunday's winds picked up with rainy moments.

Mike Marrinan from the Bureau of Meteorology said there was light rain. “The main activity obviously was on the Sunshine Coast but you really have to look at an area from south of Bundaberg across to about Springsure, anywhere south of there received some decent falls,” Mr Marrinan said.

“We have had a strong wing warning since Saturday morning through the local coast and it doesn't look like stopping anytime shortly until at least and including Tuesday.

“The following days will remain cloudy with showers and possibly an increase in what we have already had.”
