Gladstone drivers still dance with drink, death

DRINK-drivers who refuse to heed road safety and put lives at risk are coming before Gladstone Magistrates Court with monotonous regularity.

Another nine drink drivers fronted court in recent days and lost their licences.

Renee Adrian Jones, 40, was fined $300 after blowing 0.058 on the Bruce Highway at Bororen.

Leigh Allen, 29, was fined $300 when caught on Dawson Rd in Gladstone with a reading of 0.027.

Daimon Luke Taylor, 21, was fined $500 after testing positive in Toolooa St with 0.052.

Ryan Adrian Hodgson, 23, was given six months probation after he tested positive at 0.163 when stopped by RBT officers on Auckland St.

Zac William Dickey, 29, was fined $300 after a reading of 0.058 when stopped by police on the Gladstone-Benaraby Rd.

Michael Gregory Harvey, 24, was fined $800 after he tested positive with a reading of 0.109 that was over twice the legal limit on Arthur Hulme Way at Calliope.

Gary Thomas Smith, 22, was fined $700 with a reading of 0.089 on Victoria Ave.

Jennah Lyn Burgess, 21, pleaded guilty to a reading of 0.146 on Booth Ave at Tannum Sands and fined $900.

Kane Phillip Montiford, 21, was fined $350 after caught driving in Hay Court at 0.087.
