Driver allegedly over limit despite not drinking for hours

A DRIVER pulled over by police who claimed he had not had anything to drink since the previous night recorded an alleged blood alcohol content of 0.067%.

Gladstone police intercepted the 38-year-old man at 10.20am on Tuesday on the Dawson Hwy.

He will appear in court at a later date.

Also on Tuesday, motorists alerted police to a driver on the Bruce Hwy between Calliope and Mt Larcom at 3.30pm.

The man was arrested and will appear in court for an alleged high-range drink driving offence.
