Drink drivers nabbed

GLADSTONE Police were kept busy again this weekend, with a number of drink drivers nabbed throughout the area.

Six drivers were caught allegedly driving under the influence overnight from 7.30pm Saturday through to just after 9am on Sunday.

The highest alleged reading was from a 47-year-old man, who recorded an alleged BAC reading of 0.144 on the Dawson Hwy near Paterson St at about 8.30pm on Saturday night.

It capped of a relatively eventful weekend for officers, after a dog squad officer was struck by a car as a driver attempted to evade police in a Central Lane carpark in the early hours of Saturday morning.
