Drag a farmer out of drought

DRAG the Farmers out of Drought is the creation of two local clubs.

2 Envious Car Club and Mackay Lions Host Club have teamed up and to host a fundraiser that will raise funds for struggling local farmers.

The family-friendly event will be held on Saturday, May 1, from 11am, at Palmyra Drag Racing Club. The event was meant to be held this weekend but was postponed due to wet weather concerns.

There will be car club displays, business displays and raffle prizes.

Prizes and trophies will be awarded at the show n shine, dyno and drags.

Cars involved in the cruise part of the event are to meet at the Netball Courts, Leisure Street, South Mackay, at 9.30am on the day.

Gates at Palmyra Drag Racing Club will open to the public at noon with racing from 4pm.
