Charges for man arrested over Hodgson Vale home invasion
UPDATE: A 28-year-old man has been charged with numerous offences including deprivation of liberty and robbery in relation to a Hodgson Vale home invasion.
Police said the man, due to appear in Toowoomba Magistrates Court tomorrow, has also been charged with stealing, wilful damage, entering a dwelling with intent, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and trespass.
EARLIER: A man has been arrested after an alleged home invasion and theft of a car in Hodgson Vale this morning.
Police said the man broke into the Pendoma Dr home about 7am and confronted its two occupants before stealing their car.
He allegedly used a pitchfork to threaten the occupants.
The vehicle was later located at McGregor St in Wilsonton about 8am.
The man was seen running from the scene.
Police dog squads helped track the suspect to a construction site behind the Coles shopping centre in Wilsonton.
He is now assisting police with their enquiries.
EARLIER: Police are interviewing residents of a Wilsonton apartment complex after a suspected home invasion this morning.
The dog squad is also on-scene.
