Diverse dances wow the crowds at Multicutural Festival
A MYRIAD of cultures were on display at the Gladstone Multicultural Festival, with dance styles helping showcase the region's diversity.
Rampton's Danzenergy Studio dancers Abbey Murray, Ainsley Childs, Grace Graham and Lucy Perrett took to the stage on Sunday with a Russian-style performance piece.
Studio director Sherrie Rampton said the girls, aged 11 to 12, loved any chance to perform.
Ms Rampton said the Russian style was a difficult one to master in terms of technique and required poise.
Also, taking to the stage from Rampton's Danzenergy Studio were Isabel Kearns and Alyssa Gatt performing a Hungarian celebration dance.
All the performers were decked out in eye-catching outfits, which Ms Rampton said was thanks to the help of the Rampton Dance Association.
There have been a few new classes added to the Rampton's Danzenergy Studio schedule.
A popular new addition is the musical theatre classes held on Fridays.
