Dig deep because this pair want to realise their dreams

BARREL RACING: Rena Henderson and Maddi Goggi have set their sights an another National Barrel Horse Association World Championships from October 28-November 3.

But that is all dependent on whether the pair can conjure up enough coin to make the trip to the US for the second time.

"We've got accommodation and horse lease, entry fees, flights, car hire and everyday living costs to be over there," Henderson said.

"We need to ride the horses as well before we actually go to the worlds." Ten to $15000 is the magical figure needed for both Goggi and Henderson to make their American dream a reality. "We have been doing sausage sizzles and some car washes and we also have got some raffles going on as well."

Henderson said time was running out because of the impending deadline for entry applications. The pair competed back in 2016 and Henderson wants to soak up the atmosphere again in Perry, Georgia.

"We would love to be in that final and win that final buckle and having that world championship title would be quite nice," she said.

Those who wish to make the pair's trip a certainty can contact Henderson on 0412648619.
